Liam Arnsby Selected 214th Overall by Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers have selected Liam Arnsby with the 214th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Liam Arnsby

Arnsby, 18, played for the North Bay Battalion last season. The centerman recorded 26 points through 49 games last season, before adding another six in the playoffs. Arnsby will play another season in the OHL next year, looking to improve off of last season. After his Junior career, Arnsby could look to sign his ELC with Florida, but as a late-round pick he will be a multi-year project.

The Ontario-born skater has a recorded height of 5’11” and a weight of 183 pounds. An important attribute of his game is his leadership ability. Last year, Arnsby captained the Battalion to a playoff run. Skating and offensive ability will need to be improved to crack the Panthers lineup. With the seventh-round pick, Florida are picking up a guy who can play physical and be a depth scorer. A piece essential to winning Lord Stanley’s Cup.
