Ludvig Jansson Selected 125th Overall by Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers have selected Ludvig Jansson with the 125th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Ludvig Jansson

Jansson, 18, played for Södertälje SK’s professional and junior team last season. For the junior team that plays in the J20 Nationell, Jansson recorded four points in nine games. The young swede was also trusted to play with the professional team in the HockeyAllsvenskan. The defenseman will likely return back to Södertälje next season.

From Stockholm, Jansson is an even 6’0″ tall and 176 pounds. Jansson is an elite skater that allows him to compete on both sides of the puck. The Swede also can take command of a power play. That is something much needed by Florida given their power play performance in the playoffs. Being light for his frame, Ludvig will need to put on more size to make it to the show like many other prospects. Ranked 35th among European Skaters by NHL Central Scouting, Jansson has “steal” potential down the line.
