Connor Kurth Selected 192nd Overall by Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning have selected Connor Kurth with the 192nd overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Connor Kurth

Kurth, 18, played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints last year. The right winger tallied 81 points through 62 games played. Kurth provided Dubuque with another two points in the playoffs. He will take his talents to his home-state University of Minnesota next season. A step-up from the USHL, Kurth will look to develop his game to one day signing that ELC.

The Minnesota-born player stands 5’11” tall with a full frame of 214 pounds. Despite his build, Kurth is a very deceptive player with smooth hands. The Elk River native could potentially be a gem found in the depths of the draft. He is unranked in prospect rankings by most, and sits at 209 on the North American skaters list. In his second year of draft eligibility he finds his way into the Lightning prospect pool.
