Tyler Muszelik Selected 189th Overall by Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers have selected Tyler Muszelik with the 189th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Tyler Muszelik

Muszelik, 18, played for the USNTDP last season. The American goalie consistently recorded a .900 save percentage or above across different competitions last season. His best performance came against other draft prospects in the U-18 world junior championships. Tyler will advance from the development program stage to college hockey next season. He will compete for the University of New Hampshire next season.

The New Jersey native is 6’2″ tall and hits the scales at 194 pounds. Knight and Bobrovsky will be the faces of Panthers goaltending for years to come. This will allow Muszelik to likely play a full four years of college hockey to perfect his game. As scoring improves league-wide a shot at a goalie with a sixth rounder could be a worthy investment down the line.
