The Miami Marlins have signed outfielder Avisail Garcia to a four-year deal worth $53 million.
Garcia, 30, has a cannon of an arm and hits the ball hard. Miami had money to spend, and added a terrific player to shore up an outfield that has been a big deficit in recent seasons.
Garcia is a former All-Star (2017) and is coming off a season in which he hit 29 home runs with a .262 AVG and .830 OPS.
Right now, Miami’s outfield will consist of Garcia, Bryan De La Cruz, and Jesus Sanchez.
