The Tampa Bay Rays have signed reliever David Robertson to a major-league deal.

Robertson, 36, is a former All-Star (2011) and World Series Champion (2009). The Alabama alumnus last pitched in the big leagues in 2019. That season, Robertson was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA, two holds, six strikeouts, and six walks in seven games (6.2 innings). However, Robertson recently pitched in the Olympics for Team USA.
In his career (661 games), Robertson is 53-33 with a 2.90 ERA and 137 saves.
