The Florida Panthers are signing forward Carter Verhaeghe to a three-year contract extension worth just over $4 million per season.

Verhaeghe, 25, had a +24 rating, 18 goals and 36 points in 43 games last season.
“Carter emerged as one of the best possession forwards in hockey last season, elevating his game to fill an important role on our team,” said Zito. “His effort, speed and creativity are infectious on and off the ice.”
