Panthers Will Welcome NHL Street Hockey Championships and Fan Festival

Florida hockey fans and out-of-state visitors have many events to attend in the next two months: the NHL Street Championships, the 2026 Winter Classic in Miami, and the 2026 Stadium Series in Tampa.

With less than two weeks until the first-ever outdoor ice hockey game in Miami, the National Hockey League is on a mission to continue the sport’s cultural growth in the Sunshine State.

This week, the Panthers’ management and the Stanley Cup visited schools in South Florida, introducing students to ball hockey and the upcoming NHL Street hockey championship and fan festival, which will take place at the Amerant Bank Arena parking lot on Dec. 21.

NHL Street is the NHL’s official youth hockey league for kids ages 6 to 16 who love to bring the energy and game outside of ice rinks. Who hasn’t played “knee” hockey during school recess, at home, or in hotel halls? Every youth travel hockey player does it. Now, children and parents can show their love for hockey, skills, and support by joining the NHL Street Championships. The tournament will include a few divisions, a 3-on-3 format, and be open to players of all ages and skill levels. There is a cherry on top of that. The NHL organizers will try to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the largest one-day street hockey tournament. The event will start at 8:00 am and run through 11:00 pm on Sunday, Dec. 21.

  • WHAT: NHL STREET Championships
  • WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 21 (8 am – 11 pm)
  • WHERE: Amerant Bank Arena Parking Lot

The individual registration is $13.34, and team registration (9 players + goalie) is $133.40. The divisions include age groups from 7U through 17U. Adult divisions include Men’s, Women’s, Co-Ed, and Adaptive, with recreational and competitive levels. All equipment will be provided to anyone who needs it.

Brad Marchand, along with some high-calibre content creators, are expected to make an appearance. It sounds like there will be another line to take a glimpse at the two-time Stanley Cup champion. Will you be in that line or playing street hockey?
