Keyshawn Hall Transfers From UCF to Auburn

On Wednesday night, former UCF Knights forward Keyshawn Hall announced his commitment to Auburn on his Instagram. Hall was ranked as the tenth best prospect in the portal by 247 Sports after announcing his exit from the team on March 25. The leading scorer in the Big XII this season will look to contribute to a Tigers squad who will be losing key stars.

Hall had 17 games with over 20 points, the most in his conference. Despite leading the Big XII in points, he was snubbed from the All-Conference First Team. This marked the first time in a decade that the leading scorer in the conference was left off the First Team.

At 6’7, the “Big Guard” has a unique skillset. This allowed him to lead the Knights with 18.8 points per game, as well as 7.1 rebounds per game. He joins Auburn with one year of eligibility left, but also declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. The move by Hall allows him the flexibility to enter the draft if his draft stock is high. He is currently rated as a second-rounder, with Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr., Alex Condon, and Thomas Haugh joining him.

When asked about Hall earlier this season, UCF senior guard Darius Johnson spoke highly of him. “Keyshawn is one of our biggest players on the team,” Johnson said. “He’s an older guy, he’s a leader, and he’s one of our better players.”

Hall is one of six Knights that have entered the transfer portal following their 2024-25 campaign. This mass exodus leaves UCF coach Johnny Dawkins in a difficult spot. However, this predicament is not a new one for the team. Last season, 11 new players suited up for the Knights.

After a tough season in the Big XII, UCF will look to bounce back next year. If they do not perform to expectations, Dawkins’ job could be in jeopardy.
