Welcome to the first edition of bet the Florida board, where we find the best bet you should place on a Florida sports team. We are currently in the dog days of summer, which means just loads of baseball. So, we will turn our attention to the Miami Marlins.
The Marlins have six wins in their last seven games. Although the Marlins have been on a tear, they go up against the best team in the N.L, the New York Mets, who are 5-2 so far against the Fish. The Mets are too good to take any game lines on this matchup, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a perfect pick for this game.
Brian Anderson has been the most consistent Marlins hitter since coming off an injury. He is quickly becoming the second-best offensive player behind Jazz Chisholm. Anderson has six hits in his last six games, with the Marlins going up against a pitcher with an ERA above four in Trevor Williams. I’m willing to bet on Anderson keeping up the consistent offensive play and recording a hit today against the Mets.
