Bolts Fall to Bruins In Overtime

The Tampa Bay Lightning continue their push for a playoff spot going into Friday night. The Bolts were hosting a big one on Friday against the Boston Bruins. This was a very essential win for the team as it would put them ahead of the Bruins into third in the Atlantic Division.

The game got off to a rough start for Tampa with Boston opening up the scoring. Tampa managed to tie the game, but in the end, it would be the big-bad Bruins who would take home the win.

Boston opened the scoring in this game less than a minute in. Jake Debrusk scored his 22nd of the year to put the Bruins up by one. Tampa was quick to respond with Pierre Edouard Bellemare scoring to tie the game at one apiece.

No scoring occurred throughout the second or third period of this game, leaving an overtime period to decide a winner.

In the extra frame it was Charlie Coyle who was the hero for Boston, scoring a wrister to give the Bruins a key win.
