Biggest Trade of the Offseason? Tyreek Hill Has Splashed Down in Miami

The Miami Dolphins have made arguably the biggest trade of the 2022 offseason, trading for one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

The Kansas City Chiefs sent elite, speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for five draft picks. Those five draft picks include: a 2022 first round pick (No. 29), a 2022 second round pick (No. 50), a 2022 fourth-round pick, a 2023 fourth-round pick, and a 2023 sixth-round pick.

Since acquiring the six-time Pro Bowler, the Fins gave Hill a four-year, $120 million extension, including $72.2 million guaranteed. Hill is now the highest-paid receiver in the NFL, getting paid $25 million per year.

If you are going to send five draft picks and throw in $120 million for a football player, you better be expecting talent. In Hill, you are getting a type of elite talent that is rarely found in football. Hill is a speedy, flashy receiver who can easily create open space and fly past a defender.

Last season with Patrick Mahomes and the talented Chiefs offense, Hill had 111 receptions, 1239 yards, and nine touchdowns in 17 games played.

While there are questions surrounding quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his arm, Fins fans have nothing to worry about. Compared to any other NFL team, the Dolphins have had the best offseason in terms of moves and signings. Miami also has a new head coach, Mike McDaniel, who is already making his impact felt before a single game has been played.
