Cole Anthony and the Orlando Magic traveled to the bay area to take on the red-hot Golden State Warriors. Golden State has the hottest player in the league right now in Steph Curry and this game wasn’t different. Curry has been on a mission because he is within striking distance of the all-time 3-pointers made record, so needless to say he was out for blood. From the Magic’s perspective, Wendell Carter was trying to keep the Magic in this game on both ends, with a stat line of 14 points and 12 rebounds. The Magic are struggling right now and currently sit at 14th in the Eastern conference and Carter was trying to be the catalyst the team needed.
Magic Misfortunes
The Orlando Magic were down and out from the tip. Being outscored by 21 points in the first half was a deficit that was too great to come back from. The Magic were out-hustled on Monday night. Orlando looked defeated coming into the game and it showed. Gary Harris was the top scorer on Monday night contributing 17 points on an efficient 6/10 from the field. Franz Wagner also had 15 points on 7/13 shooting while continuing his very impressive rookie campaign.
Scorching Hot
On the opposition, the Warriors didn’t show any mercy in this one. Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins led the charge in this one. Both Curry and Wiggins shot the lights out in this game. Curry had 31 points on 8/16 shooting and lighting it up on 7/13 from deep. It isn’t common that someone shoots better than Steph Curry, but in this one, Andrew Wiggins did just that. Wiggins had 28 points in this one while shooting 8/10 from three. Wiggins and Curry accounted for 75% of the Warriors threes which was the deciding factor in this game which ultimately led to the Warriors win over the Magic.
