While it’s only the preseason, performances can show a lot about a player and their upcoming season.
For Mo Bamba, the preseason was his chance to impress the Orlando Magic and their fans. Bamba did just that, scoring 16 points in 27 minutes of work against the San Antonio Spurs. Bamba also had 10 rebounds, five blocks, and one steal.

Mo Bamba has struggled to find his place with the Orlando Magic as he navigated injuries and changed expectations. Luckily, Bamba is having an opportunity this summer that he hasn’t gotten in the past: a healthy offseason to improve.
With Bamba set to come off his rookie contract after this season and likely enter restricted free agency, a lot is on the line. Sunday’s performance against the Spurs is a fantastic sign for Bamba and the Magic.
Overall, for the first time in a while, there is eagerness it seems to see where Bamba is and what he can do. His potential has been proven; but will Bamba perform this season?
