Kicker Matthew Wright To Put Pressure On Josh Lambo

The Jacksonville Jaguars have added third-year kicker Matthew Wright to their practice squad.

Wright, 25, will compete with Josh Lambo for Jacksonville’s starting kicker job. Lambo has struggled this season, going 0-for-3 on field-goal attempts throughout the first two games. Lambo also missed 2-of-3 extra point attempts last week against Arizona.

As for Wright, he is perfect on field-goal attempts (4-of-4) and extra-point attempts (7-of-7) in his NFL career (one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers). Wright has also spent time in the XFL, where he played for the Tampa Bay Vipers.

Of Note: Matthew Wright played college football at UCF.
