The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded quarterback Gardner Minshew to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional sixth-round pick.
The sixth-round pick could go to a fifth if Minshew plays in 50-percent of the plays in three games this season.
Gardner Minshew
Minshew, 25, has 5,530 yards passing, a 62.9 completion percentage, 37 touchdown tosses and 11 interceptions in 23 appearances, including 20 starts, over two seasons in Jacksonville. This includes a 7-13 record.
Minshew will now compete with Joe Flacco for the backup job behind QB Jalen Hurts.
Other Notes:
- The Eagles released QB Nick Mullens to make room for Minshew.
- QB’s C. J. Beathard and Jake Luton have moved up on the Jaguars’ depth chart.
