The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded forward Tyler Johnson and a 2023 second-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks. In return, the Lightning are getting the contract of Brent Seabrook.
Tyler Johnson
Johnson, 30, is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion who will now be headed to the Windy City. The 30-year-old has played in 589 career games (nine NHL seasons), with 161 goals and 200 assists tallied. He’s also appeared in 116 postseason games with 32 goals and 33 assists. Last season (55 games), Johnson scored eight goals with 14 assists.
Brent Seabrook
Seabrook, 36, has stepped away from hockey due to chronic hip issues and other injuries. So, the Lightning will be able to place Seabrook on the long-term injured reserve.
