Preview:
Jesus Aguilar and the Miami Marlins will face a tough challenge on Friday night: a game against the reigning World Series champs.
Sandy Alcantara (1-2, 2.72 ERA, .97 WHIP, 48 strikeouts) will get the ball for Miami, facing off against Clayton Kershaw (5-3, 2.62 ERA, .99 WHIP, 46 strikeouts) of the Dodgers.
Alcantara actually faced Kershaw and the Dodgers on July 20th of 2019. Los Angeles won that game 10-6, with Joc Pederson, Justin Turner and Matt Beaty hitting home runs. Starlin Castro hit a home run for Miami.
X-Factor for Miami in Friday night’s game: Jesus Aguilar. In 35 games this season, Aguilar has a batting slash of .303/.385/.590 with 32 RBI’s, eight doubles and nine home runs. The 30-year-old has been raking as of late, but specifically on the road.
Can Miami get a win against future HOF Clayton Kershaw?
