Victor Oladipo and Nemanja Bjelica Acquired by Miami

The Miami Heat have traded Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk to the Houston Rockets in return for Victor Oladipo, along with pick swaps. (The pick Houston is swapping is the Nets 2022 first-rounder that it owns).

Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo, 28-years-old, is a two-time All Star that immediately makes Miami NBA Finals contenders, as if they weren’t contenders already. In 29 games this season, Oladipo is averaging 20.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 4.7 APG. Earlier this season, Oladipo was traded to the Houston Rockets as a part of a four-team deal that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets; the Pacers acquired Caris LeVert from the Nets and a 2023 second-round pick from the Rockets. But now, Oladipo has found a new home yet again, but this time with good friend Bam Adebayo.

Nemanja Bjelica

Although Victor Oladipo was the story of the day for Miami, Nemanja Bjelica cannot be forgotten about. The Miami Heat acquired Bjelica in a trade that sent Moe Harkless and Chris Silva to Sacramento. Bjelica is a career 38.8% three-pointer shooter. This season he is averaging 7.2 PPG in just under 17 MPG. He’s 32-years-old and is on the final year of his contract making $7.1 million.
