Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints Divisional Round Preview

After winning in a hard-fought battle against Washington, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play the Saints on Sunday at 6:40 ET. The Saints, who are coming off a domination win over the Chicago Bears, will have Home Field advantage in this game. The Bucs played the Saints two times this season with New Orleans winning both games. This will be the 22nd time that two teams have faced each other three times in one year. This will also be the oldest combined age of two quarterbacks in a single postseason matchup. Let’s take a dive into this one and preview the matchup of the old guys.

Injury Report

The Buccaneers have three questionable for Sunday’s game. Among them is Ronald Jones who will most likely be a game-time decision for Bruce Arians. There is also Jason Peiree Paul who is not listed as questionable or out with a nagging knee injury. He did not practice Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. However, it seems like the Pro Bowler will most likely play in Sunday’s game. For the Saints, they also have three questionable. The swiss army knife, Tayson Hill is one of them. Running back Latavavius Murray is also questionable. Overall there are some game-time decisions but the rosters are pretty much the same for both teams.

Third Times The Charm For The Buccaneers

Every game is an adventure for Brady and the Buccaneers. But this is definitely one of Brady’s most important games in his career and he certainly knows that going into the divisional round. Earlier this year, the Bucs lost twice to the Saints as mentioned earlier. However, the Bucs are a much better team now than they were in Week 9. Since Week 9, the Bucs offense had been revamped. They overcame their biggest obstacle this season, chemistry. In this third matchup with the Saints, it will be anything but what happened in Weeks 1 and 9.
