Florida Gators in the 2021 NFL Draft

Florida Gators 2020 Season

The Florida Gators had one of their best seasons since their 2008 championship season in 2020. This season entailed an SEC East division title, an 8-2 regular season record, with the 13th best offense in the country. All of this came with help from a number of Gators who will be entering the 2021 NFL Draft.

Players

Kyle Pitts

Kyle Pitts stands at 6’6″ and weighs in at 246 lbs. He leads the nation in most receiving yards by a tight end with 770 yards. Pitts still put up these numbers despite missing 6 of the 14 games.

Kyle Pitts puts up receiver like numbers. He also has a receiver type build. Don’t be surprised if the team that takes him gives him a plentiful amount of targets.

Expect to see Pitts be the first Tight End off the board, coming in as the #1 ranked TE and winning the Jon Mackey Award.

Kyle Trask

Gators Quarterback Kyle Trask finished 2nd in passing yards all across college football. He did this with 4283 total yards on the year. Trask also lead the country in passing touchdowns with 43.

Trask will continue to find the endzone regardless what team he goes to. The Texas native stands at 6′ 5″ and weighs in at 240 lbs.

Trask should be a late first rounder/ early second rounder. Expect Trask to be around the 5th quarterback to go off the board, with potential to be a starting QB come next season.

Marco Wilson

On the defensive side of the ball, Marco Wilson is one of the best cornerbacks in the country. This season Wilson recorded 28 tackles and 4 breakups. He also recovered a fumble.

Wilson is a big defensive back at 6’1″ and 191 lbs. Marco Wilson is very fast and can keep up with receivers the whole way.

However, expect Wilson to be a 4th or 5th round draft pick.

Kadarius Toney

Toney led the Gators in receiving yards in 202o, posting up 831 reception yards. This was a total of 984 all-purpose yards with 10 touchdowns.

Kadarius Toney should go late in the draft, with the third round being reasonable. Toney can definitely add depth to an NFL squad, especially with his speed and skill on special teams.

Conclusion

The two Kyle’s will represent the Gators in this 2021 NFL Draft. Both Kyle Pitts and Kyle Trask will both have a good draft night in April. Not only that, but they will play a huge role in the offense that drafts them.
