Ethan Hay Selected 211th Overall by Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning have selected Ethan Hay with the 211th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Ethan Hay

Hay, 18, recorded 28 points through 64 games this past season. Despite having a slow season, Ethan Hay showed up bi in the playoffs. The centerman scored 6 points in 7 games. Most of all, Hay was clutch in the faceoff circle for the Flint Firebirds. The Ontario native went nearly 60% on faceoffs throughout the year.

Hay was not the flashiest of players in the OHL but he sure did possess something memorable; grit. Being 6 foot 1 and 190 pounds, Hay had no problem throwing around his body. In addition, he would land himself in a fight from time to time. If Hay can improve upon his skill a bit more, he could play as the ideal modern day enforcer.
