New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat Game Day Preview
The Miami Heat will look to close out the New York Knicks once again as the teams lock horns in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series tomorrow night. The Heat are aiming for history by eventually becoming the 2nd 8 seed to reach the NBA finals. The only other team to do so was the 1998-99 New York Knickbockers. The fifth-seeded Knicks fought like a desperate team last night because they were. Their 112-103 victory at Madison Square Garden closed the best-of-seven series deficit to 3-2. The drama shifts back to Miami where the Heat have yet to lose a Home 2023 Playoff matchup. This one is going to be a battle! New York Knicks NYK head coach Tom Thibodeau was very complementary of his star guard Jalen Brunson. Brunson was a monster in game 5 as he recorded 38 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists while playing all 48 minutes.

Jalen Brunson spoke with reporters on how there was no discussion about an extended workload prior to game 5.

Brunson wasn’t alone as fellow teammate Quentin Grimes also played all 48 minutes. As we look to handicap this game, you must factor in the fatigue that faces these star players right? Coach Thibodeau does not seam to think so. Can one really expect the starting NYK backcourt to play all 48 minutes?

For the first time this postseason, Jimmy Butler was held under 25 points. For Game 5 Butler finished with team-leading totals in points (19) and assists (9) to go along with (7) rebounds.
