Miami Travels to Baltimore for Ravens Home Opener in Week 2

The battle of the unbeaten teams will take place at M&T Bank Stadium as the (1-0) Baltimore Ravens will host the Miami Dolphins (1-0). Both of the week one matchups weren’t even close where the Dolphins squashed the New England Patriots, 20-7, and the visiting Ravens thrashed the hometown New York Jets, 24-9.

Do you really learn a lot about your team with a W over the Jets in week one?

What can we expect in Week 2?

  • Tua Tagovailoa will unleash the football in the air against the Ravens defense. Tua almost recorded 300 passing yards versus rival New England in Week 1.
  • Tyreek Hill is going to run past Baltimore and go deep for numerous receiving yards. In other words, Hill will put up some yardage and points to keep the visiting Dolphins in this contest.
  • Chase Edmonds and Jaylen Waddle are going to pressure the Ravens ‘D’ line.
  • The Dolphins have to pressure Lamar Jackson up front like they did last year on Thursday Night Football.
  • Lamar Jackson can launch touchdowns through the air as he already has recorded three, and he scrambles at will from the pocket.
  • Ravens tight end Mark Andrews can cause tons of problems for Miami’s defensive line by getting into open space and bringing him down will be a challenge in itself.
  • Kenyan Drake, Rashod Bateman, and Devin Duvernay are going to have much stronger performances if the Dolphins fall behind early.

Both squads will run the 3-4 defense against each other. Which defense is going to come out on top?

A monstrous game for Week 2 of the regular season and losing this matchup will be devastating for either team when it comes to playoff seeding. To note, the Ravens are favored by -3.5, but is there really a favorite to choose from in this game?

In the end, this battle feels like a coin flip, deciding factor because any of these teams can win. When Sunday comes, the weather is going to be a hot 85-degree afternoon, and Miami plays well in the heat with an expected attendance of over 70,000.

With the majority of the fans dressed in purple and black, can the Dolphins tune out the crowd and execute on both sides of the gridiron? Can the Dolphins remain a perfect 2-0? Only time will tell as we are six days away from Sunday afternoon football.
