The Future: Quarterback Jaden Rashada

The future is here for the University of Miami!

Let us introduce you to four-star quarterback, Jaden Rashada. At the current moment, Rashada hails from Liberty High School in Brentwood, California where he put up some very impressive numbers as a first-year full-time starter.  Standing at 6’5 and close to 190 pounds, Rashada has the ability to stand tall in the pocket and make reads at all three levels. He was able to eclipse 2,200 yards through the air with 27 touchdowns and only five interceptions while completing 146 of his 256 passes. Simply, it’s a whole lot of production from few reps which is what sparks the intense intrigue on what this kid can do with more time to learn and polish his craft.

Mechanically, this kids throwing motion is about as smooth as it gets; short, compact and to the point. He also does a great job changing speeds and adding touches based off the type of throw needing to be made. His anticipation from the QB position is what puts a fire under scouts. He has an innate ability to lead receivers into open pockets and throw to where they are going to be and not where they’re at. Also, let’s not leave out his ability to scramble and either extend a play or make a new one of his own.

Rashada is going to be a QB that defensive coordinators are not only gonna have to scheme for his arm talent, but his ability to make plays with his legs as well.

Simply, there’s tons of excitement for the Hurricanes as we have our “post TVD” QB of the future. Get hyped Canes fans, the future at QB is extremely bright.
