With the 102nd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected LB Channing Tindell from the University of Georgia. The selection of Tindell was the Dolphins’ first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft; Miami traded their first and second round picks as part of the Tyreek Hill deal.
In a historic National Championship defense at Georgia, Tindell is just one of the many defensive players that had their name called in this years draft, including Travon Walker, Quay Walker, and Nakobi Dean.
In the 2021 season, Tindell registered 67 tackles (third on Georgia) and 5.5 sacks. He is a weak-side linebacker with sideline-to-sideline ability that is known for having amazing speed and range abilities. While never being able to captain a linebacker core, he can definitely produce as a weak-side backer, and use his speed and range to his advantage, something that the Dolphins front-seven can use in this upcoming 2022 season.
Miami will have four picks remaining in the Draft.
