Buccaneers Impress With Their Late-Round Selections

Despite the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not having any first-round picks this year, GM Jason Licht made much use of Tampa Bay’s three second-day draft picks.

With the first pick in the second round (No. 33 overall), the Bucs drafted Houston defensive lineman Logan Hall. Hall, who has the ideal frame to be an edge defender, is an explosive player with good feet. Standing at 6-6, 285-pounds, Hall has tons of moves and counters, and should be able to record tons of tackles over his NFL career. Last year at Houston, Hall had 13.5 tackles for loss including 6.5 sacks.

With the No. 57 overall pick in the NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took Central Michigan G Luke Goedeke, providing Tom Brady with more protection. Goedeke is 6-6, 312-pounds, and can play center or guard for the Bucs. Goedeke calls himself a “glass eater” when he plays because he’s nasty on the field.

And with the 91st overall pick, the Bucs drafted ASU RB Rachaad White. White, who has the highest PFF grade (92.4) out of all running backs in the 2022 NFL Draft, is an exciting, tough running back who has great receiving and hurdling ability. Analysts have compared White to David Johnson.
