Jaguars Select Utah LB Devin Lloyd with 27th Overall Pick

With the 27th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Utah LB Devin Lloyd.

The 27th pick originally belonged to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, however, Tampa Bay traded their pick for the No. 33 overall pick, the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round, as well as the No. 180 overall pick.

Lloyd, who is an effective blitzer off the edge, locates the ball quickly, slips blocks and closes well in pursuit. The selection definitely boosts Jacksonville’s defense.

Last season on the Utes, Lloyd recorded 111 tackles (66 solo), eight sacks and four interceptions. Lloyd becomes the ninth player in program history to be drafted in the first round.
