Can the Magic Upset the Nets in Brooklyn?

Even though the Orlando Magic (18-51) are rebuilding, they are going to compete every night under head coach Jamahl Mosley.

Orlando took part in an epic overtime thriller versus the Philadelphia 76ers (41-25) on Sunday night, but lost 116-114.

Now, the Magic must re-focus and turn their attention to the Brooklyn Nets (35-33), who survived against the New York Knicks (28-40), 110-117, after a 53-point performance by Kevin Durant.

What Can We Expect?

The Magic will likely play isolated defense to limit one players scoring and use full court press to keep the game close. Secondly, getting the ball into the hands of Wendell Carter Jr., Cole Anthony, and Mo Bamba will certainly be key. Furthermore, the Nets might get Patty Mills more involved in this game along with Bruce Brown Jr. and Andre Drummond. When the Magic are up or down, they rely on the three ball quite a bit. Orlando will also drive to the basket and get to the line. The way the Magic have played thus far into the season, they will likely be attacking the glass with precision by getting the ball out in transition. Let’s hope this game is decided by the players and not the officials.

Give Credit to the Magic!

Orlando is a team that no one should ever count out. In essence, we judge sports by the records and numbers so much. At times, we forget that there is a game still to be played.

However, this contest will be another close battle as the Nets remain in the eighth spot.

Will the Magic bounce back in front of their home fans? Or, will the Brooklyn Nets survive once again and win four games in a row?

We shall see…
