The Miami Dolphins have (surprisingly) fired head coach Brian Flores after three seasons with the team. According to reports, Flores simply wasn’t on the same page as his staff.
Despite those reports, Flores is a well-respected NFL coach who is considered a class act. After the Dolphins started their 2021 season 1-7, Miami finished with an 9-8 record.
The Dolphins are now the fourth team in the Super Bowl Era to win eight or more of their last nine games of the regular season and replace their head coach.
Flores also had a 4-2 career coaching record against Bill Belichick. When including the playoffs, Flores has the best record of any coach against the Belichick-era Patriots (since 2000).
Now, Miami will look for a new head coach. Reports already came out that the Fins will not go after Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh.
