The Tampa Bay Lightning lost 5-3 to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night. Mackenzie Blackwood earned New Jersey the win, stopping 31 of 34 shots. Yegor Sharangovich scored twice in the game including the game-leading goal for the Devils in the third period.

Jan Rutta opened up the scoring five minutes in. New Jersey would respond later in the frame when Yegor Sharangovich scored his first goal of the season. Tampa would regain the lead five minutes later on a power play goal from Patrick Maroon.
Victor Hedman scored the second periods only goal to put Tampa up 3-1 heading into the third. However, Tampa Bay lost a firm grip of the lead from here on out.
New Jersey came in hungry in the third looking to redeem themselves. They got off to an early start when Dawson Mercer scored his team leading sixth goal of the season. Not long after that, Jimmy Vesey scored to tie the game. From there, it was all New Jersey. Yegor Sharangovich scored his second of the game to give the Devils the lead. Tomas Tatar would then pot in an empty netter to seal the win for New Jersey.
