Upset Alert: Jaguars Take Down Bills

For the first time in 420 days, the Jacksonville Jaguars won a game on American soil. In what was a low-scoring affair, Jacksonville defeated the Buffalo Bills 9-6.

Recap

Jacksonville only had 218 total yards, but it was enough to capture a victory over a Super Bowl favorite Bills team.

QB Trevor Lawrence struggled against a tough Buffalo defense. The 2021 No. 1 overall pick was 15-of-26 passing for 118 yards.

RB James Robinson did not play due to an ankle injury. So, Carlos Hyde stepped up in his absence, rushing for 67 yards on 21 attempts.

TE Dan Arnold had a team-high 60 yards on four receptions for Jacksonville. However, everyone else was quiet for the Jaguars.

Meanwhile, Bills QB Josh Allen was 31-of-47 passing for 264 yards and two interceptions. Allen also had 50 rushing yards on five attempts. In the receiving game, WR Stefon Diggs had a game-high 85 yards on six receptions. WR Emmanuel Sanders also played well, reeling in four catches for 65 yards.

Josh Allen vs. Josh Allen

Josh Allen sacked Josh Allen and made NFL history

Sunday’s game featured a unique matchup between LB Josh Allen (Jacksonville) and QB Josh Allen (Buffalo). Not just did both players have the same name, but they were both drafted No. 7 overall.

Anyway, one of the Josh Allen’s made history.

Josh Allen of Jacksonville intercepted, sacked and recovered a fumble from Josh Allen. Allen’s second quarter sack marked the first time in NFL history that a player sacked a quarterback of the same name.
