Rich Hill Traded To New York

The Tampa Bay Rays have traded veteran pitcher Rich Hill to the New York Mets for reliever Tommy Hunter and AA catcher Matt Dyer.

Hill, 41, is 4-1 with a 3.87 ERA in 19 games this season. While his age may stick out, the 41-year-old has a 23.4 percent strikeout rate and a 4.55 FIP.

Tommy Hunter

Hunter, 35, has appeared in four games this season for the Mets. In those four games (eight innings), Hunter has a 0.00 ERA with six strikeouts.

In his career (476 games), the 35-year-old is 56-45 with a 4.04 ERA and 597 strikeouts.
