The New York Islanders will host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 of the Conference Finals.

Tampa Bay Lightning

After a 2-1 loss at home in the series opener in a game Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper didn’t think his team played its best, the Lightning have won two straight while outscoring the Islanders 6-3. So, on Saturday night, Tampa Bay will look to take a 3-1 series lead.

Andrei Vasilevskiy has been a key driving force in the Lightning’s cup run with a 2.13 GAA and a .935 SV%. Brayden Point has also been a massive driving force for the reigning Stanley Cup Champs.

Heading into Game 4 on Saturday night at Nassau Coliseum, Point is riding a six-game scoring streak that dated to Game 3 of the Lightning’s second-round series against the Hurricanes. The 25-year-old scored in each of the first three games of the series against the Islanders, including the game-winning goal Thursday. In order for New York to win, shutting down Point will be a priority.

New York Islanders

The New York Islanders are going into Game 4 down 2-1 in the series. Despite the current series score, there shouldn’t be too much panic in the New York locker room. New York has found itself down 2-1 in both of its first two series before rattling off three consecutive wins in both to advance to this point.

However, the Isles need to find more offense after scoring just five total goals on Andrei Vasilevskiy in three games so far.

Semyon Varlamov will be in net for New York. Varlamov has been a stud for the Isles in the playoffs with a 2.58 GAA and a .923 SV%.
