Joe Tryon Selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With the 32nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected LB Joe Tryon out of the University of Washington.

Joe Tryon

Joe Tryon, 22, was an edge rusher for the Washington Huskies. However, he opted out for the 2020 college football season due to personal reasons, but still a dominant force.

Tryon offers skills as a versatile defensive end who put up high levels of production in the 2019 season. Specifically, he recorded eight sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 41 total tackles. Tryon and his one-step explosiveness will be a key factor for the Buccaneers, as if the Buccaneers weren’t already loaded with linebackers. Later, he must develop his rush by getting less uptight with his movements. In the end, be ensured that Tryon will quickly improve under the guidance of elite players on the Buccaneers’ defense.

Tryon measured at 6’5″ and 259 pounds, and ran a 4.68 40-yard dash with a 35″ vertical jump. Surely, the natural build and talent of a young athlete like Tryon will be valuable on the defensive front.
