Lakers Defeat Magic; Orlando Now Holds Worst Record in Eastern Conference

The Orlando Magic dropped their 6th straight game on Monday night. It was a close game but the Los Angeles Lakers were able to pull a win out with the help of their returning superstar, Anthony Davis. Orlando’s balanced attack wasn’t enough, proving they need more in their passing efforts.

The Magic had six players score in double figures. Chuma Okeke, the 22-year-old out of Auburn, led the team in scoring with 18 points. Gary Harris, who the Magic acquired in a trade with Denver, had a rough night shooting-wise. But at the charity stripe, he couldn’t miss, going 9-for-9. Meanwhile, rookie Cole Anthony continues to improve, dishing out a team-high seven assists.

Even without LeBron James, the Lakers performed well, snapping a three-game losing streak. Dennis Schröder led the Lakers in both points (21) and assists (10).
