The Orlando Magic have traded Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu to the Chicago Bulls for Otto Porter Jr., Wendell Carter Jr., and two first-round picks (2021 and 2023).
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic, a two-time All Star, is having a career-year in Orlando, and will make an immediate impact in Chicago. The 30-year-old is averaging 24.5 PPG, 11.8 RPG, and 3.8 APG, while shooting 48% from the field, 40.6% from behind the arc, and 83.7% from the free throw line. Vucevic was the only NBA player that was leading his team (Magic) in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.
Vucevic will now join Zach Lavine to create a dynamic duo in the Windy City.
Otto Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr.
In addition to receiving two first-round picks, Orlando will receive Otto Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr.
Otto Porter Jr., the former Georgetown Hoya, has been a decent player in the NBA. His career scoring average is 11 PPG, and he’s held steady around that number for the past six seasons. But this season, Porter is averaging 9.9 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 2.0 APG. The biggest question surrounding Porter has been his health in recent years.
Wendell Carter Jr., 21-years-old, is a promising and young NBA player. Carter is currently averaging 10.9 PPG, 7.8 RPG, and 2.2 APG in his third NBA season.
