Panthers Get Shutout By Dallas

The Florida Panthers suffered a hard 3-0 loss to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night. The Panthers played a great game offensively, having far more shots than the Stars did. However, it was Anton Khudobin who was the real hero for the Stars. He kept the puck out of the net to end a six game losing streak for Dallas.

Game Summary

Dallas would get off to an early start, with John Klingberg scoring the games first goal, less than a minute in.

The rest of the first period and the entire second period went scoreless, but the Stars proved to not be done in the third. Esa Lindell would score his second goal of the season, two minutes in. Towards the end of the period, Joel Kiviranta would score his second career NHL goal on an empty netter. The Stars would end their losing streak with a 3-0 victory, shutting out Florida.

Stars HC Rick Bowness: “Tonight we played for 60 minutes and when we had some breakdowns, Dobby made some huge saves. I thought we wanted to compete for 60, and we did that.”
