Chiefs Defeat Buccaneers as Brady’s Comeback Falls Short

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have now lost their third straight home game, with a 27-24 loss to the Chiefs. This is the first time that Brady has lost three straight home games in his career. The Bucs record now falls to 7-5 as their playoff chances diminish. The Chiefs, on the other hand, improve to 10-1, as they set eyes on locking down the AFC West. Kansas City is now 19-1 in their last 20 games, an incredible feat.

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill had the best game of his career on Sunday afternoon. He started off the game with 203 receiving yards and 2 TD’s in only the first quarter. Late in the game with just over a minute remaining, he came up with a big catch the sealed the deal over the Bucs. In total, Hill finished with 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Tyreek Hill proved once again that he is easily the fastest and most energetic player in the NFL.

Quarter by Quarter

The Chiefs exploded early on and lead 17-0 after one. In the second quarter, the Buccaneers scored a touchdown and cut the deficit to 10, but the Chiefs scored a Field goal to take them into the half, up 13. In the third, it was the turnover game for the Bucs that killed them. Brady threw two picks and set the Chiefs up in prime position to win. Going into the final quarter, Kansas City lead 27-10. Brady would throw two touchdowns to Mike Evans as the two connected for their 10th and 11th touchdowns of the year. However, it wasn’t enough as the Chiefs ran down the clock and won by 3. The score doesn’t show the difference of the game, as the Chiefs really could’ve won by 20. They had multiple drives where they got down to Bucs territory and even into the redzone and couldn’t convert.

The Bucs now head into their bye week, with a chance to get back on track. Meanwhile, the Chiefs head back home to face the Broncos, to try to extend their hot streak.
