Miami Heat: Trades and Free Agency Tracker

The Miami Heat, lead by Pat Riley, will try to make an offseason filled with moves that can get the Heat back to the same place, the NBA Finals. Here is a tracker of all the Heat moves:

Goran Dragic

Goran Dragic is back with the Heat, after signing a two-year deal worth $37.5 million. Dragic will enter his 7th season on the Heat, in which he made one All-Star appearance in 2018. Dragic averaged 16.2 PPG while playing off the bench in the regular season. He became a starter again in the playoffs and tore his plantar fascia in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, an injury that hurt Miami’s chances.

Meyers Leonard

Meyers Leonard is also back with the Heat after signing a 2-year deal, worth nearly $20 million. Leonard averaged 6.1 PPG for the Heat this past season, starting for much of the regular season. In the playoffs, Leonard barely played, as he was still recovering from that sprained ankle he suffered in early February. So instead of playing, Meyers Leonard was one of the best teammates in the bubble, always on his feet on the bench.

Moe Harkless

The Heat signed FA Forward Moe Harkless to a one-year, $3.6 million deal. Harkless averaged 6.8 PPG in 12 games with the Knicks last year. He also spent time with the Clippers. Harkless is nothing special, but will provide some depth for the Heat.

Avery Bradley

The Miami Heat signed one of the best defenders on the market, in Avery Bradley. Bradley was done with the Lakers, and now signs a two-year deal with Miami. Bradley was a starter on a very good and stacked Lakers team. But before the NBA bubble, he opted out because of family health concerns. Bradley, who turns 30 next week, is a dogged defender who improved his offense while in L.A. Bradley played in 49 games for the Lakers last season and averaged 8.6 PPG in 24 minutes, while shooting 44.4% from the field, including 36.4% from three-point range. The Heat didn’t necessarily need Bradley, but why not take such a good defender.

Departures- Derrick Jones Jr. to Portland, Jae Crowder to Phoenix, Solomon Hill to Atlanta
