Tua Beats Murray Once Again - FL Teams

Tua Beats Murray Once Again

Tua Tagovailoa dominated in the Miami Dolphins‘ 34-32 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Tua is now 2-0 in his career, and 2-0 against Kyler Murray, last beating him in the Orange Bowl. The trip to Glendale, Arizona, was very worth it for the Fins, as they beat a very good Cardinals team who came in with a 5-2 record.

Tua Tagovailoa

Last week against the Rams, the Dolphins were victorious thanks to their defense. Tua was nothing close to special as he only threw 93 yards and one touchdown. In this game against the Cardinals, things were totally different. Tua threw for 248 yards and 2 TD’s, along with 35 yards rushing. He was VERY accurate and dealt with pressure, showing that he is a future star for the Dolphins.

Cardinals Offense

Even though Kyler Murray lost to Tua once again, he was very impressive. Murray had his second straight game with three TD’s passing and one TD on the ground. Murray led the Cardinals with 106 yards rushing, a number that only Lamar Jackson can compete with. Christian Kirk helped out Murray with 123 yards on five receptions. One of these receptions was a 56-yard TD. Hopkins who came in leading the NFL in receptions and yards, only recorded three receptions for 30 yards. The Cardinals could have came out with the win if it wasn’t for Zane Gonzalez’ missed 49-yard field goal with 1:58 left.

Conclusion

The Dolphins just beat a very good Cardinals team that beat the mighty Seahawks with Russel Wilson a week ago. This win definitely proved a lot for the Dolphins, including the stupid rumors about the Dolphins moving on from Tua in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. The Dolphins now inch closer to a playoff spot, as they get ready to face the Chargers with rookie QB Justin Herbert.

Dolphins Takeaways

  • Jason Sanders sets a Dolphins franchise record for consecutive Field Goals made (20)

  • Emmanuel Ogbah continues to provide an impact as he forced a fumble on Murray’s first drive. Shaq Lawson picked up the fumble and ran it to the house for the Dolphins first TD.
  • Miami has a takeaway in 14 consecutive games, second-longest streak in the NFL (Baltimore, 21).
  • THE DOLPHINS WIN THEIR FOURTH STRAIGHT GAME
