What Do The Gators Need To Do In Order To Defeat Missouri?

The Florida Gators are taking on the Missouri Tigers this Halloween. The Gators were supposed to have a bye week this week, but due to corona-virus outbreaks among the team, their Missouri game was pushed back to Halloween. They’re going need to improve in this game, especially with their defense.

The Gators need to majorly improve their defense this week. The Gators were supposed to have a bye week to get ready for maybe the biggest game against Georgia next week. Instead of regular practicing they get to practice with a game, due to their Covid outbreaks. The Gators have had 100 points scored against them in only 3 weeks. Their defense has been lacking in deep passes and their run defense.  The Gators have a playoff style offense, that can carry the team to the Final 4. It is just their defense that needs help.

Missouri needs to find a way to stop the Kyle to Kyle rhythm. If Missouri does not stop the Kyles, then they might as well walk off the field in the first quarter.  The Tigers have been averaging 26 points per game. They have scored 96 points this season while the Gators have scored 127. On the offensive side of the ball, Missouri needs to pass downfield and pressure the Gators weak secondary.

In Conclusion

All in all, the Gators have no reason or excuse to lose this game. Although their defense may stink, their offense does not. The defense only needs to stop Missouri once or twice and the Gator offense will take care of the rest. With Drew Lock in the NFL now, the hard times the Gators had with Missouri should be long gone.

The #10 ranked Gators will look to improve to 3-1 on the season, as they face an un-ranked Missouri team at 7:30 on Saturday.
