Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2025 Odds: Are the Bucs Undervalued Again?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the 2025 NFL season with a projected win total of 9.5 games, reflecting tempered expectations despite their recent success. With odds of +2800 to win Super Bowl LX and +100 to clinch the NFC South, the Bucs are poised to outperform projections once more.

Bucs’ Win Total Set at 9.5: A Conservative Outlook

After surpassing expectations in 2024 with a 10-7 record and securing their fourth consecutive NFC South title, the Buccaneers’ win total for 2025 is set at 9.5 games across major sportsbooks. This projection suggests a slight regression, despite the team’s consistent performance in recent seasons. Notably, the Bucs have exceeded their preseason win totals in two straight seasons, indicating a pattern of outperforming expectations. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds to finish with nine or more wins are +115, while the under is favored at -140, implying a belief among oddsmakers that the team may struggle to reach double-digit victories again .

Super Bowl and Playoff Odds: A Middle-of-the-Pack Contender

The Buccaneers’ odds to win Super Bowl LX stand at +2800, placing them 13th among NFL teams. While not among the top favorites, this positioning reflects that of a longshot. However, it is not that crazy to lock in on the Bucs as a Super Bowl pick. Especially if you like them to win the NFC South Division.

Winning the division ensures a home playoff game. With just a few playoff wins you can quickly find yourself needing just one break to become a contender. What is appealing to us as a “value bet” is the Bucs at +1300 to win the NFC conference. There is not enough value for us at +100 to place a bet on Tampa winning the NFC South. Having to risk $150 to win $100 on the Buccaneers making the playoffs is one that is not that attractive as well.

Key Factors Influencing the Buccaneers’ 2025 Outlook

  • Coaching Changes: The departure of offensive coordinator Liam Coen marks the third consecutive year the Bucs will have a new play-caller. While the offense remains talented, the lack of continuity could impact early-season performance.

  • Roster Stability: Despite coaching turnover, the Bucs retain key players on both sides of the ball, including quarterback Baker Mayfield, who signed a three-year extension in 2024, and wide receiver Mike Evans, who continues to be a reliable target.

  • Defensive Additions: The signing of edge rusher Haason Reddick and the drafting of cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish aim to bolster a defense that allowed 22.6 points per game last season, ranking 16th in the league .

  • Schedule Challenges: The Bucs face a tough slate of games, including matchups against projected division winners such as the Eagles, 49ers, and Lions within the first seven weeks. This challenging schedule contributes to the skepticism reflected in their win total projection .
