Florida Gators Updates
The Gators are coming off an 86-75 win against the Vanderbilt Commodores to bring their record to 19-3. Due to an ankle injury, the team was without star G Walter Clayton Jr. His presence was missed in the early stages of the game. Despite the loss of Clayton Jr. and a one point halftime deficit, the Gators were able to settle in and eventually pull away late. Will Richard had a fantastic game with 21 points, three assists and seven rebounds.
However, it was the freshman from Slovenia that sent the O’Connell Center court into a frenzy. About halfway through the second half, Urban Klavzar drilled two huge three-point shots that put the Gators up nine. They simply never looked back. Big man Alex Condon was also impressive. He finished one rebound short of a double-double, logging 19 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
After losing to the Tennessee Volunteers by 20, Gator nation can take a breath. The fan base has obtained an impressive bounce-back victory. The No. 6 ranked team in the country is currently carrying odds of +2000 to win the National Championship. Expect these odds to drop if they can pull out a victory in Auburn on Saturday. Of course, it would go a long way if Clayton Jr. can return in time for the showdown vs. Auburn.
Auburn Tigers Updates
Unless an atomic bomb strikes Auburn, the odds for the 2025 March Madness tournament will have the Tigers slotted as a #1 seed. Auburn has now run off 14 straight victories and currently hold a 21-1 record. The team’s last win was an absolute route over the Oklahoma Sooners, 98-70. Like every other NCAAB opponent, Oklahoma had no solution for stopping Johni Broome. Broome has to be the national player of the year frontrunner. He filled the stat box score with 15 points, six assists, five rebounds, three blocks, and three steals.
Dylan Cardwell blocked six of Auburn’s eleven rejections. He also contributed eight points on four dunks, including a crowd-pleasing reverse slam of Denver Jones’ lob pass.

This team is the odds-on favorite to win the national championship with +380 odds. However, let us see if they can remain as frontrunners. After Florida, the Auburn Tigers will still face five top 25 teams before heading to the SEC tournament. This includes two games against an in-state rival, the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide.
