The FAU Owls took on the Tulane Green Wave today in Boca Raton, FL. In the second to last game of the season, Tulane was dominant against FAU. Starting quarterback Michael Pratt had himself a game. The 2023 Cotton Bowl winning quarterback is a Boca native, so it was actually a homecoming for him. Pratt is also the reigning AAC player of the year.
FAU came into Saturday’s game needing to win-out for bowl eligibility this season.
Star FAU receiver, LaJohntay Wester, is continuing to ball-out this season. He finished the game with 11 receptions for 86 yards, becoming FAU’s first-ever receiver to have over 100 receptions in a single season.
FAU quarterback Daniel Richardson had 202 passing yards and a passing touchdown.
Tulane had 18 first downs, while FAU had 14.
Tulane’s passing attack was on display as Michael Pratt had 252 passing yards and three touchdowns.
FAU failed on a fourth down inside the redzone in the first half, while down 0-14.
Makhi Hughes, Tulane’s starting running back, ran for 74 yards on the day.
FAU caused a fumble on Tulane’s second-drive of the day.
Tulane linebacker Jared Small led the game in tackling.
In the end, the Tulane Green Wave defeated the FAU Owls 24-8.
Chris Brazell II of Tulane led the game in receiving with 9 catches for 103 yards.
The (4-7) Owls take on the (5-6) Rice Owls next Saturday at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
The Tulane Green Wave, meanwhile, will look to repeat as American Athletic Conference champions.
