The Miami Heat have done it again as road monsters. The series is now earmarked for a dogfight! The best of seven match-up is tied 1-1 with the scene now shifting to Miami for Game 3. The boys from South Florida are just three victories away from an unlikely NBA title; a run that has already seen them take another #1 seed in the Milwaukee Bucks.
Denver Nuggets
Nuggets coach Michael Malone is sending too much of a nervous message to his team. It screams NBA finals inexperience. Being disappointed with a loss is one thing, but verbalizing it in a strong manner is unsettling to say the least.
“This is not the preseason, this is not the regular season,” Malone said. “This is the NBA Finals. That to me is really, really perplexing, disappointing. I asked the team, I asked them, you guys tell me why they lost, and they knew the answer. Miami came in here and outworked us.”
We will soon find out if the stern approach works for Game 3, but in my opinion, do not bet on it. There is too much “Miami Magic” to ride with tonight’s matchup.

Kevin Love has been a proven spark since being inserted back into the Heat rotation. Gabe Vincent has also been a surprise Finals hero. However, Vincent is not looking too far ahead:
“It’s going to be a different game entirely,” Vincent said. “I think every game will be different this series, especially, and it will be great to be back home to start with, be back in front of our fans, it will be an awesome environment, great experience. It’s going to be a battle. They are going to bring everything they got and we better do the same.”
On eight different occasions in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, Vincent has hit four or more three point shots. That is an NBA record.
“He’s just an incredible winning player,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of Vincent, who joined Miami during the 2019-20 season. “This year, he’s been a starter for us. He’s been great off the bench, he’s been great. He’s like a lot of our guys, the competitive spirit. You get challenged like we’re getting challenged in this series, you hope it brings out the best in you. And that’s what it’s doing with him.”
