Panthers Shut Out Blue Jackets in Dominant Fashion, 4-0

Coming off a loss in Sunrise, FL to the surging Seattle Kraken, the Florida Panthers looked to get a revenge win Tuesday night against the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Panthers surely did just that, winning by a score of 4-0. The Panthers scored a goal in the first, two in the second, and an empty netter by Sam Reinhart in the third to close things out.

The Panthers started off fast and strong with a Brandon Montour one-timer from the left side, beating Blue Jackets net-minder Merzlikins.

In the second frame, the Panthers recorded two goals. Arguably the top two players on the team kept the party going in Tkachuk and Barkov. Barkov scored with just 44 seconds left in the period.

Once the third came around, the Panthers defense stepped up big time, allowing minimal shots on goal and ending the game with a strong 4-0 finish.

Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky had arguably his best game of the season. Key save after key save kept the Panthers in this game. He used his pads perfectly in the match, recording 22 saves.

Next up, the Panthers face a tough test from the Metropolitan division. The Pittsburgh Penguins come into town to finish the home stand.

Right after the final homestand game, which the Panthers hope to come away with a winn, the Panthers will go on arguably their toughest road trip.

Although it is only two games, the Panthers will have to face the New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins. Right now, both of those teams are running away with their respective divisions.
