With the 125th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected Texas Tech WR Erik Ezukanma.
In four years at Texas Tech, Ezukanma had 138 receptions for 2,165 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns. He was also used as a receiving back, as he recorded 10 rushes for 138 yards in the 2021 season. Ezukanma was selected as first-team all Big 12 in 2020, and second-team Big 12 in 2021. He has also been on the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award in both of those seasons.
Ezukanma is best described as a slot receiver, having good traits with his size (6’2, 205 lbs) and leadership (team captain at Texas Tech). According to scouts, he struggles with speed and route running. His pro comparison according to NFL Network is Donte Moncrief.
The Dolphins will close out their draft with two seventh-round selections on Saturday.
