Tannehill Serves Dolphins Revenge, Defeats Former Team 34-3

For the first time in his career, Ryan Tannehill faced off against the Miami Dolphins. And he got his revenge against his former team, dominating the Dolphins in the cold rain, 34-3. In the win, Tannehill completed 13 of 18 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite losing Derrick Henry and using 88 players, the most amount of players in a non-strike NFL season, the Tennessee Titans have clinched the AFC South for the second straight season with their win and the Colts loss against the Raiders. This is the first time this has happened since they were the Houston Oilers of the AFL. As of right now, the Titans also own the top seed in the AFC with the Kansas City Chiefs losing to Cincinnati.

The Tennessee Titans used a very dominant run game Sunday in the rain to dominate the Dolphins. D’Onta Foreman played exceptionally well, with 26 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown. Dontrell Hilliard also ran for a 39-yard touchdown run at the two-minute warning in the fourth. Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser caught touchdown passes of one and 15 yards along with the two rushing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, on the other side, it was a completely different game for the Dolphins. Miami could not seem to get anything going offensively and it showed early on. Tua Tagovailoa did not have a good day, as he only completed 18 of 38 passes for 205 yards and an interception, along with being sacked four times. Jaylen Waddle did not break the rookie reception record on Sunday, as he only had three receptions for 47 yards.

The Miami Dolphins have now been eliminated from playoff contention. Also, Miami’s seven-game winning streak has been snapped.
