REPORT: The University of Miami Hires Dan Radakovich as the Next AD

Clemson AD Dan Radakovich will reportedly become the Miami Hurricanes‘ next Athletic Director. Radakovich, 63, has been serving as the AD at Clemson since 2012. He is a very well-respected person throughout the college football landscape and is a Miami alum.

Radakovich was a distinguished graduate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1980) where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also played football at IUP, playing tight end and handling punting duties. Also, Radakovich graduated from the University of Miami Business School in 1982 with a master’s degree in business administration. He worked with the University of Miami as the athletics business manager from 1983-85, winning a football National Championship in 1983. He would go on to work in the likes of Long Beach State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Clemson, before taking the AD job at Miami (now).

Miami’s Road Ahead:

The Canes hope to land head coach Mario Cristobal in the next few days. Cristobal has spent the past few seasons at Oregon. In that span, he has a 35-12 record, two Pac-12 Championships, and one Top-5 finish.

“The University of Miami will try to hire Mario Cristobal as Hurricanes head coach “in coming days,” Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson reports.
